Cost Estimating Service

Most builders and main contractors want full Building Regulation drawings in place before they will even entertain providing a quote. To get to this point in the process most clients have spent thousands. The result is normally that your project costs are larger than expected. This eats into your potential profit or equity gain and in the worst case makes the project unviable.

So we’ve invested in the technology that big developers use to price projects to help us offer an estimate service for you at no extra cost.

We only require the proposed floor plans, proposed elevation and section drawings.

We update labour rates daily and they are specific to each postcode. We use live price books from the large builders merchants , which are also updated daily.

Scope Of Works

The estimators do not conduct site surveys and have no knowledge of the true topography of the site. Therefore any work priced that includes, ground works, foundation, landscaping and like is priced on the assumption of a flat plot.

The estimator excludes works such as: Intruder alarms and CCTV installations. If your project includes any of these items, you should obtain prices from the source of supply or a specialist sub-contractor.

Fluctuation: The differences between estimates can vary. Even when tendering builders are pricing using identical information there is room for legitimate disagreement on what the correct costs are. In our experience, for career minded professional builders the fluctuation should be within 20%. Our total costs are aimed to fall within the center of this range. This gives a plus and minus 10% fluctuation between the highest, the lowest and your cost. Assuming all tenders have accurately included all elements the client should receive all tenders within this price band.
